DECEMBER 2024
December 31, 2024
OVERVIEW
Welcome to the sixth monthly report - series of reflections surrounding AUGURY HOUSE’s growth and developments as a production house. Some big milestones have passed as we close out the year.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
On the 21st of the month, Kevin finished the final proofreading pass of his feature screenplay! The script is 120 pages long and we have since registered it to the WGA and copyright. On the heels of this screenplay, we are also in the concept stage for a lower budget feature film as well. We’re hoping that 2025 will be the year where we can set up the potential for larger productions!
DIFFICULTIES
A major difficulty is planning for larger opportunities, especially given how the entertainment industry is completely subjective. As media corporations are pushing to consolidate and viewership is on the rise for film and TV, we’re anticipating that people will want to see new, high level stories that break conventions! By preparing feature screenplays at multiple budget levels and developing our short films, we hope to position ourselves with a strong portfolio that will make us worthy contenders in the film industry .
GOALS As we move into 2025, we’ll be preparing for larger opportunities that may come our way. We will look to finish out two short films we have on deck, and develop two other ones we also have concept of. We hope to gain exposure from placing in screenplay competitions, potentially connect with investors, and leverage our short films as key proof of concepts for what we can accomplish. We’ll also be holding a mini AUGURY HOUSE conference solely for convening over our current trajectory and plans for how we want to run the business. Big things are ahead!
